Use the keyboard or a game controller (click the game once, then press any button, so the browser shows the controller to the page).

64-bit Windows 10 or 11
Download 381 MBUnzip and run Dead Rail.exe. If Windows SmartScreen stops it, choose More info, then Run anyway. It needs a graphics card with Vulkan support.
Mac
Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11 or later
Download 412 MBUnzip and drag Dead Rail to Applications. The first time, right-click it and choose Open (it is not notarized yet). If macOS still refuses, open System Settings, Privacy and Security, and choose Open Anyway.
Linux
64-bit x86, Vulkan graphics
Download 374 MBUnzip, then run ./dead-rail.x86_64 (chmod +x it first if your unzip drops the flag).
